Hello! Welcome to my corner of the portrait photography world!

I realized photography was my passion when I came home from a photo shoot of a high school senior, opened the door, and said "I love my job!". My mother, who was babysitting my daughter, said, "Medical billing job?". "NOOO.... taking pictures!". So... after I lost my medical billing job, I began Starr Lit Photography, my sweet blessing in disguise, because I GET to do this every day!

I like to take time to get to know my clients before, during, and after each session. I consider it an honor to become part of your family history in this way. My goal in a creative session is to capture real, natural moments: expressions of you and your loved ones that will become lifetime keepsakes. After each session, I can't wait to get home and begin looking at what's been created! I love my job!

When I'm not clicking, you'll find me chasing my full of life and energy four year old daughter Madalynn, (and driving through Starbucks to keep up with said 4 year old!!). She came into my life through the miracle of adoption (another thing I'm passionate about... if that subject comes up you'll have a tough time getting this introvert to stop talking!). I am blessed to be her Mom, and wouldn't change a thing.
